Director of Communications
Irene Herring has always had a passion for communications. She sees the printed word, the internet and social media as tools to share the greatest message ever told, the message of eternal life, new hope, and peace found through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Irene also has a passion and respect for families and the challenges that they face in today’s culture. She also has a passion for teaching Bible studies in a way that makes biblical truth understandable and practical. She is a former Army wife, finding courage and strength in God while her chaplain husband, Pastor Mike, was deployed many times after 9/11 during OEF and OIF.
Irene went to the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!!), majoring in visual design, marketing and English Lit. She and Pastor Mike have 3 daughters, two son-in-laws, 5 grandkids, and 2 pets that might as well be children. They both love the outdoors and have hiked many of the national parks.
Irene loves anything chocolate, and Jesus Christ has had the greatest influence on her life. Her husband and her family continue to teach her every day about unconditional love.
