We want our families and kids at FPC to flourish. How does loving God, growing in grace and serving others apply to our children’s ministry? They are on a journey, growing in Christ’s grace and discipleship to become Godly men and women. We want to have children hear the Gospel story, receive the Gospel story, and share the Gospel story.
Through Sunday School, our nursery and worship our children gather together in a place where we can plant Gospel seeds. As the children grow, we offer all the things necessary to help these seeds take root. In the nursery we provide a nurturing and safe place. In our Sunday School classes we teach children about the Bible, how to talk to God in prayer, and that faith in Jesus is about relationship.
In addition to the regular meetings, FPC has special events to help “fertilize” the Gospel seeds in the lives of the children (just as a plant needs water, sunlight, and fertilizer to grow healthy). Special events such as potlucks, Christmas and Advent family dinners, Easter celebrations, and Family nights are available to foster community.
Our ultimate aim is for our children to develop a Gospel foundation, having roots that have been firmly planted and are growing deep into Jesus Christ.
