If you are unable to attend worship services due to restrictions because of COVID-19, FPC is offering devotionals and sermons on our Facebook page, YouTube, and IGTV. You can find sermons on the home page and on the sermon page. We have small group opportunities starting up again. Please contact one of the small group leaders if you are interested in joining an online group.
Now that we are all able to worship together in person, service begins at 10:30 am. For updates on what you need to attend the worship service, please read the latest information on page 2 of the church ENews. Sunday School takes a break during the summer months.
We love visitors and new members! You’ll meet friendly people as you walk into our beautiful 19th century sanctuary constructed by some of the same craftsmen who built the famous mansions on Bellevue Avenue.
More importantly, you’ll see that Jesus is the true foundation of this congregation that loves and worships God. Come join us in discovering Christ’s love for us as we all grow in our relationship with Him.
Our worship service celebrates the glory of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through hymns, prayers, music, and Scripture-based teaching. On the first Sunday of the month we receive communion together, too.
If you’ve never been to a Presbyterian church, that’s OK! You’ll discover how our worship resonates across centuries, cultures, and churches as we all seek His loving purpose for our modern lives.
Parking is available on the streets around the church. Handicapped spaces are available on Everett and Calvert Streets and do not require a formal handicap license.
4 Everett Street, Newport, RI. We are very easy to find. The church faces Broadway Street, a main artery through downtown Newport, and is at the intersection of Everett and Broadway (next to Dunkin Donuts). There’s a Civil War memorial statue of a Union soldier in front of the church, and Equality Park is across the street.
We again have a staffed nursery! All caretakers adhere to regulations to make sure your little ones are cared for. Children are always welcome to attend worship service with the family. We currently do not have a children’s message or children’s worship time. Normally, about fifteen minutes into the worship service the pastor does a special “Children’s Message” for ages 3-6, after which they are invited to attend a special Young Children and Worship time led by one of our many gifted volunteers.
