Sunday September 3 2017 I John 4:7-21 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. [audio mp3="https://www.fpcnewport.org/FPCwordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/2017_09_03.mp3"][/audio]...

A study on the New Testament book of Philippians will focus on the joy found in the Christian life.  Taught by Don Estes, the class meets in the Hometime Room, on the main level off of the Fellowship Hall.

Beginning Sunday, February 9, 2020 through Palm Sunday, from 9:30 am to 10:15 am, instead of a regular Sunday School class, Pastor Herring and Rosanne Franco will be preparing our fourth through ninth graders for this by studying the Westminster Shorter Catechism.  On Palm Sunday, those students who would like to join the First Presbyterian Church as members will meet with the Elders.  Following this time, they will join the church during the worship service.  Pastor Mike and Rosanne will turn something that may sound boring into something fun and interesting!  If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Herring or the Christian Education Elders Mikyong Kim and Daryl Kolator.

Join us Palm Sunday as our FPC kids will sing, and Pastor Mike preaches on The March from Matthew 21:1-11.  Palm Sunday at FPC Newport will be a morning of celebration and praise and fellowship.  We want you to feel safe, so safety precautions are implemented including social distancing and readily available disposable masks and hand sanitizer.  Last year, our doors were closed.  This year, we are open and invite you to join us for this joyous day.
